If you have been in a relationship of any duration, you have probably heard of the phrase, “Tell me about the love you've lost.” While this statement is meant to be a soft, caring gesture, it can also be quite hurtful. If you respond to such a question with what seems like a negative response, it only holds the potential to make your friend feel bad. Not only that but it is not very nice when someone asks the question in the first place. If you were in a relationship and no longer in love with someone and can’t see yourself ever falling in love again then there is no reason to share that story.
Love is something that we all experience and we all feel different ways when we experience it. You don’t want to tell someone else how you felt when they fell in love because chances are they will think less of you.
